Golf team earns Ches-Mont League Sportsmanship Award

Playing as an associate member of the Ches-Mont League in golf for the first time this fall, the Glen Mills golf team earned the league’s Sportsmanship Award. The league’s coaches vote for the honor.
“That’s really a great credit to the kids on the Glen Mills team and the coaching staff,” Russ Wren, the Athletic Director at Great Valley High School and the Chairman of the league’s golf committee, said.
Glen Mills head coach Vern Watson was pleased about the award.
“We’re extremely proud to be recognized by our peers in the Ches-Mont League,” Watson said. “As a team and as a school, we really emphasize playing with integrity and sportsmanship.  Assistant coaches Jim Clough, Lenny Lux, James Saul, and Dave Wilder all did a great job in instilling that in our players. We are pleased to be included in the Ches-Mont and glad that we made a favorable impression.”
