Interboro tied the game with a three pointer with ten seconds left but guard Anthony Rappaselli was fouled with 1.7 seconds left in the game, setting up two shots with a trip to foul line with the Bulls in the double bonus.
“I knew I had to make at least one,” Rappaselli said. “I was thinking this was what we practice for. We’ve been working a lot on foul shooting and coach has been telling us that they (foul shots) can win games, and he was right.”
The practice paid off and after missing the first attempt, Rappaselli nailed the second shot to give the visiting Battling Bulls an exciting 45-44 Del Val victory on January 17th. With the win, the Bulls improved to 2-1 in the league as guard George Walker had a big night with 20 points.
