Led by a strong overall effort, Glen Mills captured the Pennsylvania State Coaches Powerlifting Association’s equipped team title on April 22nd.
Competing against talented lifters from across the state, the Bulls compiled 68 team points, edging Hershey (65) and Parkland (58) for the coveted title.
Tamir Baker (114 lbs.), Terry Oveal (132), Eddie Frazier (165), Quadir Gibson (242), D’Amonte Bell (257), and Najere Person (132) won state gold. Person also earned the Middle School Most Outstanding Lifter award.
Samir Hawkins, meanwhile, set the 148 lbs. varsity raw state deadlift record with a 475 effort.
