The Bulls were special guests of former Sixer coach Jimmy Lynam and his daughter Dei.
Hosted by former Philadelphia 76er coach Jimmy Lynam and Blue Coat analyst Dei Lynam, the Glen Mills basketball team recently had the opportunity to see the Delaware Blue Coats take down the Erie Bayhawks 108-100 at the 76ers Fieldhouse in Wilmington, Delaware on February 11th.
The Blue Coats play in the G League, which is the official minor league organization of the NBA, and are an affiliate of the 76ers. Coach Lynam is a big fan of the Glen Mills basketball program and head coach Tony Bacon appreciates his support.
“Coach Lynam and his daughter Dei have been great to us and our student/athletes,” Bacon said. “We really appreciate their interest in our program. Coach comes to a lot of our games and practices and always offers our young men positive encouragement.”
Coach Lynam’s basketball background is impressive to say the least. Over the course of the years, his college head coaching stops have included St. Joe’s and he has coached the Clippers, the Bullets, and the Sixers in the NBA. Currently, the former St. Joe’s standout and Havertown, PA native is a pre and post-game Sixer analyst for NBC Sports Philadelphia.
“That was a really neat experience and we appreciate Coach Lynam and his daughter hosting us,” Glen Mills basketball player Princeton Lyle said. “That was a fun evening.”
