It took two days, but the Glen Mills football team beat host West Chester Henderson High School 24-9 on September 8th. When the game was suspended because of lighting in the area on Friday night with 2:38 remaining in the second period, the Bulls had built a 12-0 lead.
Wide receiver Camer Warrington-Curry hauled in a 15-yard touchdown pass from Clentrell George and linebacker Robert Smith returned an interception 40 yards for another Glen Mills score.
Returning Saturday morning to resume, however, Henderson got a quick safety just before halftime and scored a touchdown to pull within 12-9 in the third quarter. From there, the Bulls took over and earned the non-league victory.
Running back Robert Hill, who rushed for 104 yards on the night, ran for a touchdown and also returned an interception 70 yards for a score.
Linebacker Darryl Diggs then sealed the victory for the Bulls with an interception deep in Glen Mills territory with just under four minutes remaining in the game. His interception was third for the Bulls on the night.
